Ambient air quality generally observed satisfactory in residential areas while it exceeded the standards in mining complex 2. Transportation and coal burning activities are major sources of air pollution apart from fugitive emission from OB Dumps and coal stock piles	Residential colonies should be appropriately sited and suggested management of specific sources for air pollution control
