24 March - 27 March 2020: International Conference on "Challenges of Air Quality in Global Megacities" (CAGMe-2020)

March 24, 2020 - March 27, 2020 | Pune, India

Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Dr. Homi Bhabha Road, Pashan

OBJECTIVE OF CONFERENCE

Globally, air pollution is one of the serious environmental risk and megacities are engine of growing pollution where its exposure may lead to burden of disease. The purpose of CAGMe-2020 is to address some of the most critical air quality issues currently being faced by Mega cities. The objective is to bridge the gap in air quality science and services to provide more in-depth knowledge of its linkages with Urban Weather, Climate and Environment Services. It is envisaged that addressing these fundamental issues will lead to solution for the benefit of Human kind, economy and population at large. Conference will also be targeted towards paving the way for existing services to improve in coverage and accuracy to emerge where demand is expressed or societal gains foreseen. Linkages need to be established and consolidated to deliver the predictive capacity and build the derived suite of services. The goal is to build environmentally resilient and sustainable cities, with integrated approach and multi-hazard early warning system.
