The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week renews our commitment to achieve the goals of promoting integrity, transparency and accountability in public life and to lay greater emphasis on generation of awareness among the public as a more effective and sustainable means of fighting corruption.

The theme for this year Vigilance Awareness Week is “ सतर्क भारत, समृद्ध भारत - Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India)”. The observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the pledge, taken by the Faculty Members, Technical Superintendent and Staffs of the department along with IIT(ISM) ENVIS Staffs, by strictly adhering to the extant Covid-19 prevention guidelines such as wearing masks, 'Do Gaj ki Doori' and washing one's hands at all locations and events.

Gupta, HOD/ESE & IIT(ISM) ENVIS Coordinator discussed the importance of good governance and the effective use of control measures to improve performance and to eliminate corruption. He also discussed that our Department should focus on internal (housekeeping) activities, such as improvement of internal processes, time bound disposal of work and systemic improvements leveraging technology. He said that we should identify and implement systemic improvements within our department for the betterment of the department and hence the institute as a whole.
