National Constitution Day was observed by ENVIS Centre at Department of Environmental Science & Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad on 26th November 2022. Constitution Day also known as 'Samvidhan Divas', is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950. On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the Union Cabinet decided to celebrate November 26 as Constitution Day. The theme for this year Constitution Day is “Bharat: Loktantra ki Janani (India: The Mother of Democracy)”.
On this occasion under the guidance of Prof. Anshumali, HOD, Dept. of ESE and Coordinator, ENVIS Centre, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, along with Faculty Members of Deptt. of ESE, Prof. S.R. Samadder, Associate Professor, Prof. Suresh Pandian E., Associate Professor, Prof, Tinesh Pathania, Assistant Professor, Prof. Vittal Hari, Assistant Professor and Technical Staffs, Office Staffs, ENVIS Staffs and Research Scholars read the Preamble to promote Constitution values among citizens. The Preamble was recited by Ms. Rima Kumari, Research Scholar at Dept. of ESE, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
