Integrity Pledge on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 at Dept. of ESE, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

In alignment with the annual observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, observed every year nationwide during the week in which Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday falls, i.e. October 31st, honoring his legacy as a symbol of integrity and unity, the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering (ESE), Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad on 28th October at 11:00 AM conducted a Vigilance Awareness Programme. The theme for this year's Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 is, “सत्यनिष्ठा की संस्कृति से राष्ट्र की समृद्धि” or “Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity”, which underscores the importance of fostering a culture of honesty and transparency for a prosperous India.

 

Under the guidance of Prof. Alok Sinha - HOD, Department of ESE & Coordinator, EIACP (PC-RP), IIT (ISM), the event brought together 22 nos. of participants including, Faculty Members, Technical Officers, Office Staff, and EIACP Staff, who collectively took the Integrity Pledge for Citizens and the Integrity Pledge for Organizations. Through these pledges, they committed to upholding integrity, transparency, and accountability in all their actions and to contribute to the eradication of corruption in all facets of life. The pledge was recited by Mr. Anamol Bharati, Junior Assistant, Dept. of ESE, IIT (ISM), marking a moment of collective resolve. Mr. Durga Das Chandra, IT Officer, EIACP (PC-RP) captured the occasion through photographs while the event’s arrangements were meticulously overseen by Mr. Bishwajit Das, Programme Officer, EIACP (PC-RP).

 

This observance reaffirmed IIT(ISM) Dhanbad's commitment to cultivating a culture of integrity, corruption-free, transparent, and ethically robust society, while reminding all participants of their shared responsibility to uphold the values of transparency and ethical conduct for the nation's prosperity.
